Albertengo Panettoni Cakes

The Albertengo have had 'their hands in the cookie jar' for about two centuries. From the small village bakery that it was in the middle of the last century, today Albertengo has developed into a large modern company that is a leader in the production of Panettone and Colomba.
Respect for people, first and foremost, and knowledge of quality raw materials, techniques and processes have made Albertengo a well-known brand in Italy and abroad for the production of recurrence leavened goods: Panettoni and Panettoni.
Albertengo's mission has always been to pursue all-round quality, investing in research and innovation and improving products while remaining faithful to tradition.

The Hazelnuts of the
Albertengo agricultural estate

The Albertengo family believes and invests in the territory: since 2012, they have started an agricultural project to produce IGP Piedmont hazelnuts from the Langhe in Alta Langa, recognised as the best hazelnut in the world.
Today it is the Tenuta San Giorgio Pian delle Violette in Levice, a small municipality where the land is very suitable for hazelnut cultivation: to date, there are 7 thousand plants in 14 hectares all planted with hazelnuts.
The harvest is used to produce the icing and decorate the Albertengo Panettoni with whole hazelnuts.

Special Selections

The Albertengo family's bond with Piedmont, and the Cuneo area in particular, is expressed at the highest level in the Special Selections: gourmet Panettoni and Pandori, made with local raw materials.
Soft dough with butter and fresh eggs, Moscato wine produced on the gentle hills of the Langhe, Guido Gobino's chocolate, and IGP Piedmont Hazelnuts from the Langhe grown on the farm that Albertengo created in Levice, Alta Langa.
They are used for icing or whole to decorate Panettoni.

The Piedmont Selection

Piedmont is a land of history and flavours: Piedmontese for generations, the Albertengo family have launched a line of Panettoni featuring some of the exceptional raw materials that Piedmont offers: here is the Selezione Piemonte characterised by the queen of the Alta Langa, the IGP Piedmont hazelnut from the Langhe grown on the Albertengo farm in Levice and recognised as the best hazelnut in the world, is used both in the icing and in the decoration; by the cream butter made from Piedmontese milk, processed by a company very close to Albertengo in a controlled supply chain to guarantee taste and quality; by the Moscato wine from the hills of Santo Stefano Belbo, sweet and aromatic, a Piedmontese wine excellence; by the eggs that are produced in a company at the foot of Monviso that guarantees the animal welfare of its hens.

The Albertengo family has always run a shop in Torre San Giorgio. La Maison del Panettone continues that tradition: it is the shop attached to the company where Albertengo sells part of the production of Panettone, Colomba and biscuits made in the workshop. It is only open at certain times of the year: at Christmas time (usually from September to December) and in spring, depending on when Easter Day falls. Schedules are defined from year to year.
